AI Label Remover

Report a problem

Remove visible AI labels and supported AI metadata locally, while keeping unrelated photo information

One static JPEG, PNG or WebP image, up to 20 MB and 16 megapixels.

Your image stays on your device. Only the AI model and runtime files are downloaded; no photo or metadata is uploaded.

Paint over the visible logo or lettering. Include its edges, use the eraser to correct the mask, and zoom in for precise selection. Pixels outside the selected mask stay unchanged.

The first run downloads a model of about 208 MB. Keep this tab open; processing may take a minute or more. Later runs can use the cached model.

Carve/LaMa-ONNX · Apache-2.0

The restored image downloads as PNG in sRGB. Portable EXIF, GPS, dates and text are copied when readable; orientation and dimensions are updated. Source color profiles, thumbnails and signed credentials are not copied because the pixels have changed. Supported AI metadata is also removed.

What is AI Label Remover?

A visible AI badge and AI information inside a file are different things. This tool provides separate workflows for each. Choose a region to restore the background behind a logo, or inspect embedded metadata without changing the compressed image data. It does not detect whether a picture was generated with AI.

Visible labels

Paint over the visible logo or lettering. Include its edges, use the eraser to correct the mask, and zoom in for precise selection. Pixels outside the selected mask stay unchanged.

Use a small, accurate selection and inspect edges at full size. Background restoration can look different on textured surfaces or near faces.

AI metadata

Inspect the file before cleaning. Supported prompt, workflow and generation fields are removed; unrelated EXIF, GPS, dates and color profiles stay in the file. Review the removal list before continuing.

Other photo information is kept

The AI-related Content Credentials package will be removed as a whole, including its signed provenance information.

How to Use AI Label Remover

  1. 1Choose one supported image and the workflow you need.
  2. 2For a visible label, paint or draw a rectangle over it. For metadata, review the detected fields.
  3. 3Start processing. You can cancel restoration while the model is downloading or running.
  4. 4Compare the result with the original, then download a new file. The original is never overwritten.

Tips and common mistakes

Tips

  • Use a small, accurate selection and inspect edges at full size. Background restoration can look different on textured surfaces or near faces.
  • The first run downloads a model of about 208 MB. Keep this tab open; processing may take a minute or more. Later runs can use the cached model.

Common mistakes

  • Do not treat an empty metadata report as proof of human authorship. Unknown fields and invisible watermarks may remain.

Educational notes

  • Your image stays on your device. Only the AI model and runtime files are downloaded; no photo or metadata is uploaded.
  • One static JPEG, PNG or WebP image, up to 20 MB and 16 megapixels.
  • No. SynthID is an invisible watermark in image pixels. Removing a logo or metadata does not guarantee its removal, or prevent AI detection.
  • Some metadata could not be interpreted and has been kept. Complete removal cannot be confirmed.
  • The restored image downloads as PNG in sRGB. Portable EXIF, GPS, dates and text are copied when readable; orientation and dimensions are updated. Source color profiles, thumbnails and signed credentials are not copied because the pixels have changed. Supported AI metadata is also removed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this remove SynthID?

No. SynthID is an invisible watermark in image pixels. Removing a logo or metadata does not guarantee its removal, or prevent AI detection.

Will my photo be uploaded?

No. Image processing and metadata editing run in your browser. The restoration model is downloaded separately and can be cached locally.

What happens to EXIF and Content Credentials?

Metadata-only cleaning preserves unrelated EXIF, GPS, dates and color profiles. A Content Credentials package with recognized AI information is removed entirely rather than left with a broken signature.
